Acushnet Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a meeting will be held by the Board on Tuesday, February 18 th, 2020 at 6:30 P.M. in the Town Hall Meeting Room located at 122 Main Street.
1. Case # 2019.10.08A A continuation on the case of Manuel Almeida, of 8 Wildrose Lane, Acushnet who is petitioning the Board for a Special Permit for the use and parking of more than one commercial vehicle for business use at his address. This request is being made under the provisions of Section 3.3.1 Residence “A” District- Section “B” (8)- Use and Parking of More Than One Commercial Vehicle for Business Use.
2. Case #2020.01.21A A continuation on the case of Garrett Soucy, of 5 Williams Street, Acushnet who is petitioning for a Special Permit to be able to turn renovations or additions of his dwelling into an accessory apartment. This request is being made under the provisions of Section 3.3.1 “B” (1) and Section 3.4 “B”: Accessory Apartments.
3. Case #2020.02.18A A hearing on the case of Gary Hathaway, of 19 Westland Street, Acushnet, who is petitioning the Board for a Variance and expansion of the original Special Permit issued in October of 1989 to be able to add customer seating (waiting area) and handicap accessibility to the business, owned by Ahoy Matte LLC and located at 586 Main Street, Acushnet. These requests are being made under the provisions of Section 3.3.1 E (3).
4. Case #2020.02.18B A hearing on the case of Katie Belanger, of 8 Archer’s Way Acushnet, who is petitioning for a Special Permit to be able to run a commercial dog breeding business out of the home. This request is being made under the provisions of Section 3.3.1 “B” (5).
