Begining October 1, 2018 the Town Hall will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays; Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Fridays 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Join Walgreens Pharmacy on Friday, 10/5, 10:00 a.m.–noon. to get your flu, pneumonia and/or shingles vaccine at the Acushnet Council on Aging, 59 1/2 South Main Street. Please be sure to bring a photo ID and all insurance cards.

CODE RED
The town is encouraging residents and business owners to sign up for CODE RED emergency notifications.
The notifications would include evacuation alerts, missing children alerts and boil water notifications.

Story time at the library
The Acushnet Public Library, 232 Middle Rd., offers story time every Wednesday through November 28 at 10:30 a.m. Join us for stories, rhymes and fall FUN! For all ages. Please note, there is no story time on 11/21.

Free Concert
Yesterday’s Country Band, Free Musical Performance . Join us at the Acushnet Senior Community Center, 59 ½ South Main Street on Friday, 10/12, at 1:00 p.m. Grab your dancing shoes, a sense of humor and dance along to the music of Yesterday’s Country Band. This group has evolved from a bunch of semi-retired musicians, who enjoyed jamming and playing music together, to an active, performing band. Free, open to the public. Free magazines
Did you know? We only keep the current year of our magazines and then discard them and offer them up to our patrons to keep for free. Excellent for teachers who like to cut pictures out of magazines for projects or for cooks looking for recipes. Please spread the word! The free bin is located across from our Info Desk at the Acushnet Public Library, 232 Middle Rd. First come, first served.
Annual Book Sale donations wanted
The Friends of the Acushnet Library is collecting books for its annual book sale. Volunteers will be available on Sat., 10/6 and Wed., 10/10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and on Tues., & Thurs., 10/9 & 11, from 4–7 p.m., at the library, 232 Middle Rd., Acushnet. Please use deck-side door during the designated times only. Do not leave outside or in book drop.
Friends supports the museum pass program and many of the wonderful programs held at the library for all ages.
Accepting hardcover and paperback books for all ages, DVDs, CDs. Will NOT accept anything in poor condition, magazines, textbooks or encyclopedias, board games video or audio cassettes.
All items must be in good condition, clean and free of mold, dust, rodent droppings, bugs and spiders.
The Friends support the library’s museum pass program, events for all ages and other library services. Please consider joining. Memberships start at $5.
