Acushnet Lions hold annual toy/food drive and bike run

December 3, 2025 by Staff Writer

The Acushnet Lions Club held their annual food and toy drive and bike run on Sunday, 11/30/25. About 30 bikers braved the cold weather to pony up $20 and gather at River’s End Cafe where a truck from Adams and Adams awaited. Motorcycle riders, Lions, and other volunteers helped load the truck with the help of 2025 Miss Apple Peach, Elyza Wagner, and Jr. Miss Apple Peach, Aubrey Souza.

Food and toys went to the Shepherd’s Pantry in Acushnet where they will be distributed. If you’d like to donate to the pantry, mail check or money order to Shepherd’s Pantry, Long Plain Methodist Church, 1215 Main St., Acushnet, MA 02743; 508-763-9289. Or find them on Facebook.
