Acushnet did not hold its annual lighting this year due to COVID restrictions, but the fire station and grounds are still decorated and will be lit up every night just like every other year. The town held a Santa parade on Sunday, 12/6, so Santa could still visit Acushnet children, albeit from afar. Residents lined the route to greet the big guy.

The annual lighting usually includes singing by the middle school choir and a chance to sit with Santa and have pictures taken, and hot chocolate and cookies, too. The Christmas spirit is still alive, though, on the grounds of the fire station at Parting Ways, on 24 Russell Street. The lights will be on every night and it is open to the public.
