Acushnet holds annual Haunted Hayride

November 2, 2017 by Staff Writer

Hailey Brightman, this year’s Miss Apple Peach, keeps everyone smiling during the Haunted Hayride in Acushnet this weekend. Submitted photo.

The Acushnet Department of Public Works teamed up with the Council on Aging to hold the annual Haunted Hayride on the Senior Center grounds this weekend. On Friday and Saturday the public enjoyed a free hayride, with free scares along the way. Ghouls and ghosts and zombies converged upon the trail to challenge those who dared to take the ride. There was free face painting, hot dogs and hot chocolate by the Salvation Army, candy and other goodies by the COA.
