Members of the Acushnet Fire Department provided COVID-19 testing to teachers and staff at the Acushnet Elementary School on 9/15/20. The crew went to Fort Middle School on 9/16/20 to test teachers and staff there. School started in Acushnet on 9/16. The FD thanked the Selectboard for authorizing the project, the school community for being so welcoming, and the taxpayers for making the funds available.
“And a very special THANK YOU to this crew of EMTs for taking the training and being involved in this very important community project,” wrote the department on Facebook.
