The town of Acushnet held an outreach event for the Acushnet Complete Streets Prioritization Plan back in January. The consultants have now developed a draft plan including approximately 30 different projects including sidewalk installation, crosswalk enhancements, bike amenities, traffic calming measures, and intersection improvements, among others.
The public is invited to attend a Public Open House on Wed. 4/26, 6–7:30 p.m. in the Police Station Conference Room, 64 Middle Road, and provide feedback on the proposed projects and their prioritization. They have also launched an online project viewer and survey, where community members can explore the projects and share input on their rankings. Visit https://tinyurl.com/AcushnetCSPP.
These projects were identified via previous plans and studies, a needs assessment, and most importantly, feedback from the public. They received over 100 comments as to where residents would like to see improvement made.
