The Acushnet Police Department will hold a Change of Command ceremony on Sun., 2/9, at 11 a.m., at the Acushnet Council on Aging, 59 1/2 So. Main St., Acushnet. The public is invited to attend this free event. The Acushnet Police Department would like to extend a formal invitation to the public for the official Acushnet Police Department’s Change of Command Ceremony.
The Ceremony will not only signify the beginning of Chief Christopher Richmond’s Command, but will also highlight and celebrate the tenure of Retiring Chief, Michael Alves. The APD will also celebrate the promotion of Officer Michael Matton to the position of Sergeant.
We hope to see everyone there for what should be an exciting event during an exciting time at the APD.
