The Polished Look of New Bedford is NOT for Sale
Brenda Gomes, owner of The Polished Look Salon & Day Spa, at 865 Ashley Blvd in the North End of New Bedford, will be reopening for services as soon as possible when the Governor of Massachusetts allows salons to begin operating after this forced closure due to the COVID virus.
In addition to the financial difficulties inflicted by this extended closure, another adverse situation is threatening the business, through no fault of its own. The adjoining property that is the former location of the Potting Bench is being sold. That business moved to Fairhaven. Now, posted on that property are large for sale signs surrounding the building where the Polished Look Salon continues salon services. This makes it seem like the Polished Look is closing. Many customers and strangers have questioned if the Polished Look is for sale — and we emphatically confirm that it is NOT for sale, nor is it closing.
Brenda Gomes, and her staff of nine, who provide nail and hair services, look forward to welcoming back their regular clients, and invite anyone looking for a great salon to contact them to make appointments so that they can enjoy the services of a team of professionals that have provided excellent services to this community for over 36 years. The salon specializes in bridal showers and wedding parties, and girls’ night out celebrations.
