We love it when people think outside the box to make a box that may save our lives,
A group of Boston construction companies got together to design and build boxes out of plexiglass that our Paramedics can use when intubating a patient with COVID-19.
Intubation is the placing of a tube into the airway and can release mist from the infected individual.
The box is placed over the patient and the Paramedic performs the skills through two holes. Ingenuity at its best!
Fifteen boxes and associated supplies were donated to local EMS departments in our area.
