COVID-19: Pray for deliverance
Subject: The Coronavirus, pray for deliverance. I don’t mean to minimize the seriousness and the impact of the Coronavirus but what strikes me is the way many Americans have reacted. I wonder how many Americans have prayed and called upon God for deliverance. We as Americans should get on our knees and thank God for having the best medical facilities in the world. However, I believe it is unrealistic to think that sufficient medical supplies such as test kits, ventilators, and other such equipment can be provided on such short note.
President Trump’s early action and decision to ban Chinese flights to the US is giving us time to prepare and minimize the impact on the death toll in our country. Just contrast the dire situation in northern Italy which didn’t stop Chinese travel.
Another aspect, just look at the reaction of some of our citizens. Store shelves are bare, many items and paper products in particular. I invite anyone to google the Spanish influenza outbreak in 1917 when many millions world wide and many thousands here in the US died.
It looks as if this coronavirus outbreak is just starting, I do pray to God this is not the case. I believe we should heed the advice of our medical experts by avoiding unnecessary contact and washing our hands. And most of all praying to God for the deliverance.
