Press Release
The The Fairhaven High School Alumni Association is in the middle of its annual Light-a-Light fundraiser, and their Colorado Blue Spruce Tree on the west lawn of the high school will be illuminated on Friday, 11/29, at dusk, around 5:30 p.m.
Almost 300 individual donations have been received so far, and the FHS Alumni Board of Directors has decided to award a $500 Scholarship to a college-bound FHS senior from the Class of 2020 in the name of the class that has the largest number of donors as of December 31st.
As of November 17th the Class of 1961 was in first place (16), followed by the Class of 1966 (14). The Classes of 1953, 1964, 1965 and 1967 are in a battle for third place. Donations of $10 or more in the name of deceased alumni will be counted towards that deceased alum’s class total.
