Trick or Treat Parade
NOTE TIME CHANGE
Meet up at the Acushnet Fire Station, 24 Russell St./Parting Ways, for some treats and Halloween fun. Parade will go through the neighborhood where residents will also hand out candy to the children.

Not-so-Spooky Pajama Story Time

Movie Matinee at the Acushnet Public Library, 232 Middle Rd., Acushnet, on Tues., 10/29, at 2 p.m. showing At Eternity’s Gate, 18+. Please bring a covered beverage and a snack if you wish. Watch the movie, enjoy a bit of discussion, and help select next month’s movie.
At Eternity’s Gate is a 2018 biographical drama film about the final years of painter Vincent van Gogh’s life. The film dramatizes the controversial theory put forward by van Gogh biographers Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith, in which they speculate that van Gogh’s death was caused by mischief rather than suicide. Presented through a license with Movie Licensing USA.

Our Centennial Committee Needs Your Help
The Marie S. Howard School building, now the Acushnet Public Library, turns 100 this year. A key to the success of this celebration will be pictures and memories of the building throughout its history as a school, a community center, and now, a library. Fall Fair
Join us at our Fall Fair for grandma’s attic, crafts, baked goods, kitchen featuring chowmein, fried rice, and sandwiches. Our thrift store will also be open.

Bike Run/Toy & Food Drive
By the Acushnet Lions Club and the Rivers’ End Cafe, annual Toy & Food Drive/Motorcycle Run on Sun., 12/1. $10 unwrapped toy donation (no stuffed animals please), or non-perishable food donation gets you in. Now accepting food and toys at the Rivers End, 7 Tarkiln Hil Road, Acushnet.
