The Fort Taber Military Museum, 1000C Rodney French Blvd., New Bedford, is looking for volunteers to help staff the museum, work the desk, greet visitors, etc. The museum is open daily 1–4 p.m. and is closed only on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Easter. It illustrates the history of the fortification and military installations that were once part of the Fort Rodman complex, and also collects and displays the history of New Bedford area veterans. Amission is free.
