The Fairhaven Village Militia held its annual fall encampment at Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven on Saturday, 9/28/19. The one-day encampment was a smaller, abbreviated version of the militia’s usual camp due to the threat of EEE. Although the camp was smaller and crowds a bit lighter, the firing of the five cannons still brought a crowd, and the smell of a smoked ham cooking on the open fire filled the area and drew people in.
