First annual West Island Poker Run, sponsored by West Island Marina, 56 Goulart Memorial Drive, Fairhaven. Proceeds to benefit the Matty Oliveira Memorial Fund. $350 donation includes transit dockage for Fri. & Sat., one poker hand, one t-shirt and four dinner tickets. Additional crew members, $50 pp; additional dinner tickets, $25; additional poker hands, $100 each. Sat., 9/14, check in 9–11 a.m. at WI Marina. Captains meeting at 11 a.m., start your engines at NOON. Final stop, West Island Marina. Dinner, 6–7 p.m.; awards and raffles at 8 p.m. First place, $1,000; 2nd place, $500.
