The Little Village Cafe, occupying the former site of Pumpernickel’s, is now open for business. The new owners also own The Village Cafe on Route 6 in Dartmouth. The new place opened the week of August 12, and by all accounts, did well for a first week.
“Successful first week at our new location,” reads a post on the Little Village Cafe’s Facebook page. “Thank you to all our loyal customers for coming over the bridge to show their support this week. Thank you to all our new Fairhaven friends for welcoming us into their little Village where we are grateful to continue serving you and your families.”
Menu items include home style breakfast and lunch, featuring Portuguese sweetbread French toast, cacoila, kale soup and an amazing variety of eggs Benedict. The restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch, Monday–Saturday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and for breakfast only on Sundays, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The address is 23 Center Street, in the center of Fairhaven, 508-996-0518.
