The Acushnet Public Library held a summer Open House on Tuesday, 8/13/19, treating the patrons and the summer reading participants to ice cream, face painting, balloon art and more. About 140 people attended, according to Library Director Dina Brasseur.
The total children’s book circulation from July 1 to mid-August was 7,025, definitely a number to brag about. The children pictured here are active summer reading participants and, no doubt, contributed to the high circulation numbers.
Balloon art and face paint were provided by Fun Faces with a Twist. The Friends of the Acushnet Public Library supplied Acushnet Creamery ice cream.
Selectboard members Roger Cabral, Kevin Gaspar, and David Desroches, with Mass. state Rep. Chris Hendricks and Town Administrator Brian Noble scooped ice cream for patrons alongside members of the Friends of the Library and trustees.
