Chief Brian Levesque is pleased to announce that the Dartmouth Police Department will join Neighborhoods United and the New Bedford Police Department for National Night Out 2019 and invites residents to attend on Tues., 8/6, from 5-8 p.m., at Ashley Park, Rivet Street, New Bedford
Held on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out is a nationwide campaign designed to strengthen the relationship between police and fire officials and residents in order to foster partnerships and improve safety in neighborhoods.
National Night Out is family-friendly and free to attend.
Attendees will be able to enjoy music, activities, arts and crafts, face painting, raffles and more. The annual police and fire department tug of war competition will also take place during the event.
Food and beverages will be provided while supplies last.

In the event of a rainout, the National Night Out event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7.
