Fairhaven will hold its third annual 2019 National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6 from 5-8 p.m. on the West Lawn at Fairhaven High School. There is no rain date for this event.
The event is designed to bring local law enforcement together with members of the community for a night of safety-themed fun. Includes free entertainment and food courtesy of local businesses. Activities will include a K9 demonstration, a helicopter landing, music, tours of Fairhaven High School and more.
Community members will not only have the opportunity to meet Fairhaven’s men and women in blue, but will be able to see emergency vehicles and equipment up close and personal. Meet the Police Department, and experience firsthand the equipment they use, including Police cruisers, the Police safety boat, the Harbormaster truck, the Animal Control van, and learn more about the departments and people who keep you safe. Fire Department truck and vehicles will also be on display. Refreshments will be supplied by local businesses (first come, first serve). There will be music, informational booths, demonstrations, children’s activities and more.
Rest rooms will be available in the high school. The Visitors Center in the Academy Building will be open and there is a rest room there as well.
