The Acushnet Public Library is celebrating summer reading with a variety of programming highlighting the statewide theme “A Universe of Stories.” We are all connected through stories and the library hopes to build on this sense of community and engage young people and adults throughout the Greater New Bedford area in the summer and beyond!
For the second year in a row, the library, located at 232 Middle Rd., will offer a Summer Concert Series on Monday evenings at 6 pm starting July 1. Concerts will be held on the library lawn or, in the event of rain, in the community room. Patrons are asked to bring a chair or blanket for the outside events.
This year’s lineup includes talented local musicians:
• July 1 G & Friends Adult contemporary music
• July 8 Women in World Jazz Music from around the world
