The 45th annual Father’s Day Road race finished up before the rains poured down on Sunday, 6/16, with 1224 people finishing up the 5K and 311 finishing the 10K. First over the line in the 5K was Trevor Wysong, 21, of Taunton in 15:48, followed by William Benoit, 16, of Fairhaven in 16:42; and Jack Pereira, 15, of New Bedford in third place in 17:11. First woman over the line was Lynn Vasconcelos, 44, of Fairhaven in 20:57, who was 20 overall. In the 10K, Bronson Venable, 28, of Warwick, RI, finished first in 31:24; Jaidiby Zapata, 34, of Milford, NH, came in second; and Jason Reilly, 36, of East Greenwich, RI came in third. First woman over the line in the 10K was Melissa Henry, 31, of Boston, in 39:32, who was 11 overall.
