South Coast Pride is June 1 from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. in Buttonwood Park, New Bedford. This free, family friendly community event has a healthy start at 9:00 a.m. with the 1.9 mile New Bedford Wellness Walk around the park with Dr. Michael Rocha, followed by Yoga in the Park at 9:45 a.m. with local yoga guru, Jeff Costa. Live entertainment, drag performances, vendors, resource tables, live art and more continue from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Adults (21+) are invited to the After Pride Party at Le Place, 20 Kenyon Street, New Bedford from 4 p.m.–2 a.m. featuring friends, fun and food for $10 cover charge. Local favorite DJ Nicole will be on the outside deck from 4–9 p.m.
