Fairhaven-Acushnet Baseball Opening Day Parade
Join Fairhaven-Acushnet Youth Baseball (FAYB) this Sat., 4/27, for our Annual Opening Day at 11 a.m. and join us for the dedication of the Acushnet Tee Ball Field. The field will now be known as the CJ Crooks Field. Charles “CJ” Crooks Jr. was an AYAA All-Star until his life was cut way too short after a courageous battle with Leukemia on May 14th, 2004 at the age of 14. For those who knew CJ, he could always brighten your day with his larger than life smile.
PARADE
Players should be at St. Francis Xavier School on Main St. in Acushnet at 10:30 a.m. to assemble with their teams. The parade kicks off at 11, and heads over to Pope Park.
There will be FAYB apparel on display, and some great specials at our concession stand. Games will begin at 12:30 p.m.
