Fairhaven had a few fender benders this weekend, including one that involved three cars. On Saturday, 4/6/19, at about noon, two cars collided on Sconticut Neck Road near Pub 99 and Stop & Shop. A 2008 Hyundai driven by Beth Amoruso of Fairhaven pulled out of the driveway near Pub 99, taking a left to head towards Route 6, and apparently drove into the path of a 2005 Toyota driven by Nancy Pauline of Fairhaven. Both cars had to be towed from the scene, but there were no apparent injuries, according to Lt. Kevin Kobza of the Fairhaven Police Department. On Sunday, 4/7, a three-car crash involved a 2006 Volvo driven by Samuel Wiggins of Mattapoiset, who was trying to get from the right lane to the far left lane. According to the police report, he looked over his shoulder to check for cars in the left lane and when he looked back to the front he was too close to the car in front of him and could not stop in time. He collided with a 2010 Subaru driven by Tess Washburn of Mattapoisett, and that car got pushed forward into vehicle three, a 2014 Honda driven by Mike Mitchell of Fairhaven.
