Spring is in the air! Come to the Mattapoisett Free Public Library, 7 Barstow St., on Sun., 3/31, from 2–3 p.m. and hear local author Donna Lee Tufts speak about the process of writing and publishing her recent book “From My Kayak.” The book gives the reader a guided tour of her kayaking in Aucoot Cove in Marion. In the book, Tufts effectively promotes kayaking as a recreational hobby and it is the perfect venue for her beautiful digital photography of the ocean, waterfowl, and reflects the pleasure she takes in her local surroundings.
