Tedeschi is a name engraved in my mind long before I met Peter Tedeschi, due to their convenience stores that were a fixture in Southeastern Massachusetts since 1923. Peter, the grandson of Italian immigrants, was the CEO of Tedeschi Food Shops until 2015. Peter is an experienced businessman with an investment background who currently serves upon the Executive Board of Directors for Friendship Home — which provides social, developmental, and work opportunities for adolescents and young adults with developmental disabilities. Peter Tedeschi is also the Republican candidate for the United States House of Representatives in the 9th Congressional District.
Peter Tedeschi has deep generational roots in the area and believes that the call to public service and serving in political office is a civic duty and moral obligation to help others in our community, not a career. Peter is in favor of term limits and pledges to serve no more than three terms in Congress. Tedeschi is a man of Massachusetts, not Washington, D.C.
I met Peter in early January 2018 over CHiPPis at Mirasol’s Café in Dartmouth, and I was immediately impressed by his intellect and leadership skills. Yet, perhaps more important, was Peter’s attentiveness, understanding, integrity, and compassion. Peter Tedeschi didn’t come to lecture, but rather to listen and learn.
Peter Tedeschi is endorsed by both Governor Charlie Baker and Sheriff Tom Hodgson of Bristol County. Peter will reach across the aisle and reject special interests to be an agent of change to fix a broken Congress. Peter will put his values, leadership, and business experience to use in service of each and every resident of the 9th Congressional District. Indeed, he has spent a lifetime as a servant leader and will be so in the halls of Capitol Hill. Peter Tedeschi comes from, and remains, a man of the We, the People.
