June is Gay Pride Month, and the 48th annual Boston Pride festival and parade, with a theme of “Rainbow Resistance,” took over the streets of Boston on Saturday, 6/9, to celebrate and show support for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer individuals. Hundreds of people and groups marched in the parade, and the sidewalks were packed with spectators along the route that started at Copley Square and ended in Government Center where there was entertainment, food, and vendor booths. The annual event includes drag queens, politicians, groups from every aspect of life. This year’s event included people of a wide variety of ages, ethnicities, and groups.
