The Local History Guild conversation for Thurs., 6/14, will take place at the Fishing Heritage Center, 38 Bethel Street, 6-7 p.m. The topic this month is “Local Fishermen: Their Lives and Legacies.” Michael P. Dyer will sit down with Fishing Heritage Center Director Laura Orleans, and Fairhaven’s Millicent Library Archivist Debbie Charpentier, to talk about the important work that Debbie has done to increase public awareness and access to the legacies of local fishermen, and Laura Orlean’s pioneering work at the Fishing Heritage Center.
