LGBTQ pride event at Buttonwood Park, including entertainment, kids zone, and more. South Coast Pride is Sat., 6/2, in Buttonwood Park, New Bedford from 9:30AM – 4PM. PRIDE will be a fun packed, family friendly day with live entertainment, food vendors, artisan booths, resources, and a Kids Zone. The event is a free community event open to the public and sponsored by the South Coast LGBTQ Network.
Join yoga and fitness expert Jeff Costa for an “out and proud” all-levels Kripalu Yoga class to officially kick off Pride 2018 at 9:30am in Buttonwood Park or the 1.9 mile New Bedford WellnesslWalk around the park directly following yoga. There will be live entertainment throughout the day (10am-4pm), with hostess Jacqueline DiMera from Providence, DJ Nicole Lopes, Sister Funk and a full lineup of local talent, including jazz with the SouthCoast Brass Band.
Anyone 21 or older may attend the Pre Pride Party on Friday night, June 1 at Incognito, 1606 Acushnet Ave, New Bedford; or the After Pride Party on June 2, 4pm-2am at Le Place, 20 Kenyon Street, New Bedford.
This event is sponsored by South Coast LGBTQ Network, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Its mission is to build and maintain a comprehensive support network for LGBTQ individuals and families across the age spectrum.
