Record-breaking year for 10th Anniversary of Walkathon and Family Fun Day
Community Connections, Inc. (CCI) held their 10th Annual Walkathon and Family Fun Day at the Fairhaven Recreation Center on Sunday, September 17th. This annual event helps bring awareness and funding to help individuals with disabilities who participate in CCI’s programs across Southern Massachusetts and Cape Cod.
This year close to 450 people attended the event, the most the organization has seen thus far, and raised just over $62,000, the highest amount in 10 years!
Some events of the day included a dunk tank, carnival games, raffles, vendors, face painting, and a bouncy house and of course the three-mile walk.
Community Connections would like to thank all donors, volunteers, and sponsors who helped contribute to the success of this event, especially HUB International for their generous donation and continued support.
Make sure to mark your calendar for the 11th Annual Walkathon which will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018.
Community Connections has been providing life-enriching services that promote optimal independence for people with disabilities for over 30 years. They provide day habilitation programs and employment services for these individuals from Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod. Cape Cod locations include Mashpee and South Yarmouth.
