Be the Solution to Pollution will be hosting a Coastsweep Cleanup at Fort Phoenix Town Beach on Sun., 9/24, from 1 to 4pm.
Each piece of litter will be documented on data sheets which will be sent on to Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management, as well as, The Ocean Conservancy for the 2017 International Coastal Cleanup Trash Free Seas Report. Last year our volunteers picked up 589.5 lbs of trash and recycling. Meet near the cannons. We will provide data cards, gloves, tools, bags and refreshments. Please wear closed toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle. T-shirts while they last and prizes for the most cigarette filters, straws and plastic caps picked up.
