Movie Matinee: The Sheep Detective, Monday, 11/9 at 2 pm.
In Fairhaven
Come celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s centenary with South Coast Cinemaniacs! In honor of the ever fascinating actress and icon, we’re screening the comedy SOME LIKE IT HOT (1959). Two jazz musicians (Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon) witness a mass mob hit and go on the run. They bump into an all-female jazz band and decide the best way to hide is in plain sight — as two, new female members of the band. Will sexy singer Sugar Kane (Marilyn Monroe) be their undoing?
The program starts on Monday, November 9 at 5:30 PM at the Millicent Library on 45 Center St., Fairhaven. All are welcome, and the event is free! Use the Walnut St. entrance to access the auditorium.
South Coast Cinemaniacs meets the second Monday of the month, excluding holidays, to watch and discuss classic movies.
