Letter_Importance of Elections

The Importance of Elections

I believe the importance of elections can not be understated. Virtually every aspect of your life is impacted by them.

That being said, at no point in human history have so many people enjoyed the freedoms and opportunities we have in this country. These have been secured at a very high price. We have them because of the men and women who fought and died to secure them.

The driving principle of why the revolutionary war and most of the other wars we fought was freedom. It’s stated in the Declaration of Independence thusly, all men are endowed by heir creator with the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It’s the responsibility of our government to secure them.

The present-day Democratic party has been hijacked by socialist Marxists, communists whose message is vote for me you’ll have free health care, housing, child care, groceries, you name it the government will take care of you from cradle to grave.

The truth is you’ll lose all your freedoms, your life will be controlled by these arrogant bureaucrats whose goal is power and control.

You don’t have to look too far back in history to see the results of communism. Millions upon millions have been slaughtered by ruthless communist dictators. Castro enslaved Cuba. Until the capture of Maduro by Trump, Venezuela was enslaved.

Many have turned away from the God of our founding fathers, which was the underpinning of our government and the way our laws were enacted and written.*

Consider what these Marxists advocate and strive for. Rewrite the definition of marriage, abortion at any time for any reason, the sexual mutilation of children**, boys in girls’ bathrooms and sports. Strip away parental authority.

There are two other very important points I would like to make. First, in our arrogant ignorance, we say we have no idols or gods. I say false. Something will control you whether it’s sports, travel, possessions, money, or whatever dominates your thoughts and time.

I thank God for Trump and his supporters. If not for him, Iran would have the atomic bomb and the ICBMS to deliver them.

It seems that too many have become too complacent. They have forgotten 911 when Islamic extremists hijacked plants and flew them into the twin towers and the pentagon and most likely would have into the White House but for the bravery of those courageous Americans who stopped them and crashed the plane in Shanksville, PA.

These are the same extremists who chant death to Israel and America.

*Editor’s note: The separation of Church and state is enshrined in the First Amendment to the Constitution: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

**Editor’s note: I got nuthin’. I have no idea where this foolishness comes from.
