Dressing Up
Dear Frankie,
My mom insists on dressing me up for every holiday. If it isn’t the reindeer costume, it’s pink rabbit ears — and worst of all, the Halloween pumpkin outfit.
During off-seasons, it’s bandannas, coats, boots — you name it. Lassie and Rin-Tin -Tin never had to wear costumes, so why me?
Is there anything I can do to get my mom to stop, Frankie?
Camilla
Dear Camilla,
There’s no reason you should accept wearing clothes. Run when you see her coming with an outfit. If she catches you, squirm and make it as hard as possible for her to dress you.
If that doesn’t stop her, pee on her. My friend did this, and after a few cleanups, her mom finally gave up.
Sometimes, Camilla, it requires extreme measures to get your point across.
Best, Frankie
