As summer comes to a close, it’s time to start up the Natural Heritage of Fairhaven Series! This series, made possible in part with a grant from the Fairhaven Cultural Council through the Massachusetts Cultural Council, offers free and ongoing programming exploring the rich connections between landscape, ecology, and culture in Fairhaven. Through talks on biology, history, art, and more, the series aims to deepen our understanding and appreciation for the natural beauty of our town.
All talks are held on the first Monday of the month at the Unitarian Church of Fairhaven, unless otherwise advertised. To sign up and access upcoming programming, see the “Upcoming Events” section of the Millicent Library’s website. We hope you join us for our first talk of the season, on September 21st at 6:30 pm, where Sara Singh, Principal Environmental Planner with the Southeast Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD), will discuss our community emergency preparedness and address risks specific to Fairhaven.
