Best Friends
Dear Frankie,
My family recently moved, and the dogs at the park and doggy daycare couldn’t be nicer or more helpful.
But I miss my best friend June terribly. We did everything together. We knew one another’s secrets, worries, and dreams. If either one of us had a problem, we were there to listen, offer advice, and support.
I know these kinds of friendships don’t happen overnight, but until I can find another friend like June, life will be pretty empty.
Milly
Dear Milly,
Indeed, you will no longer be able to do things with June in person. Despite the miles between you, she is still your best friend and the one you can turn to as you always have, but now it will be by phone, text, and Zoom calls.
Best friends have a connection to one another that no number of miles can erase. Good friends often say that no matter how long it has been since they have seen or talked to one another, when they do, it feels like no time has passed and they pick up where they left off.
All that is left for you to do is to pick up the phone or get on the computer.
Best, Frankie
