Got some fun stuff this week. We love our cars, in the US of A, right? Am I right? See page 12 for some pics of cool cars. I love that Acushnet car cruise. They block off the whole Parting Ways intersection.
I did some Day Tripping a couple of weeks ago. I could’ve written a book about the Whaling Museum and the Seamen’s Bethel. What fun, too, to show an out of town friend how cool that place is. See page 13 for what we found.
The Conservation Commission had a little bit of drama this week (see page 3). The chairperson said he got accused of threatening to carry a gun to a meeting. Now, really folks, don’t be saying stuff like that. Gun jokes aren’t funny.
The Acushnet Police Department held a very different kind of academy recently. And although the class was not perfect, everyone managed to graduate. See page 19 for this very important story, the kind of story it takes a hyper local paper to spot and to appreciate its importance.
Ugh…I was going to skip the Big Buffoon this week and his clownish regime. But the Milo Yiannopoulos popped up on the radar. The right wing conspiracy nut-ball who is anti-woman, anti-immigrant, anti….everything that is good. Turns out the dude’s an illegal in this country. Go figure, huh? They treated him the way they have been treating all immigrants, and even some citizens of the wrong color, and he just can’t believe it.
Now he’s sorry he supported the Big Bufoon’s policies. Yeah, cuz he got personally, physically hurt. He didn’t give a damn when it was poor, dark-skinned folks, right? Oh, and it’s also after he made a bazillion dollars from spouting off his racist crap. Oh, yeah, then he blew it all. Easy come, easy go, huh?
At least they sent him back to Great Britain, a safe country he grew up in. Others have gone to tiny countries in South Africa that they never heard of.
The evil of this regime will haunt this country forever.
OH…we had a primary this week. See page 4 for details.
There’s other stuff in here, of course. Thumb through to find it all, and while you do that, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week… see ya,
