John Medeiros is on a quest. He wants to get the Rogers School bell out of storage and into the streets…literally (see page 13).
The bell, as you may recall, was removed from the building because it might have fallen out of its cradle that was rotting away: things are a little deteriorated over there. It has been in storage, and Mr. Medeiros thinks that’s a wasteful thing. I dare say he could use some help from interested residents who want to find a way to get it done.
The Historical Commission has said, somewhere along the way, that they do not want to do anything with the bell. That, I believe, is a mistake. We all had a chance to get a good look at the bell and ring it when it got removed in 2016 (see our 8/18/16 issue). These things are so cool to have around. This one was made in 1902.
So, we’ll be keeping an eye on Mr. Medeiros and what he tries next.
Meanwhile, we covered the rest of the BPW meeting, of course. See page 13 for that.
Early voting has begun for the primary in September (see page 3). Quick….hurry up, the Big Buffoon is trying everything he can to keep people from voting. He literally wants the feds to have a master list and then tell the Post Office who they can deliver mail-in ballots to. Really. Who the f would ever think that’s a good idea? Of course, the fact that the Constitution says the states run elections doesn’t stop this guy: He has no respect for the Constitution… or any law for that matter.
Now his personal lawyer turned Acting Attorney General soon to be confirmed AG (oh, puleeze…you know the cowards will all vote “yes”) has promised to give the Big Buffoon, his kids and all their business associates a free pass on paying taxes. Just exactly what the founders meant when they wrote all that stuff so no one is above the law, right?
How can any of you still support this guy?
What will it take?
There’s other stuff in here, of course. Thumb through to find it all, and while you do that, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week… see ya,
