Site Specific Happenings (SSH) announces ambrosia/salad, an outdoor exhibition of site-responsive installation, sculpture, and performance, opening August 8 at 5:00PM at Allen C. Haskell Public Gardens, 787 Shawmut Ave., New Bedford. Presented by SSH in partnership with The Trustees of Reservations, ambrosia/salad unfolds across the full landscape of the gardens, opening with an evening of performance and participatory activations across the grounds. The exhibition is free and open to the public through September 19, 2026.
Opening Night — Saturday, August 8, 2026 • 5:00–8:00 PM Visual, sculptural, sound and edible works will emerge throughout the evening, inviting guests to wander, observe, listen, taste, and take part. Guests are invited to dress in their ambrosia/salad best: come as a fountain of youth, a nostalgic dessert, in a honey-colored suit or interpret as you wish. Headphones are recommended for select works.
