The Fairhaven-Acushnet Land Preservation Trust organized a cleanup of the Acushnet River at Hamlin street on 7/11/26. The volunteers cleared pathways to suport the herring’s migration next season. Sixteen volunteers cleared 270 yards of river debris that will not only help the herring, but will also help kayakers and canoers.
“The volunteers worked hard and deepened their connection with the Acushnet River,” wrote Sienna Flynn for the FALPT. “The Fairhaven Acushnet Land Trust is grateful to all the volunteers that donated their time and energy to a great cause.”
