Get out of the summer’s heat to enjoy a thrilling chiller!
In THE WHITE REINDEER/ VALKOINEN PEURA (1952), a newly wed Sámi woman cannot cope with the loneliness life to a nomadic, reindeer herder brings. When her longed for husband returns exhausted and inattentive, she thinks a love spell is the solution. Her visit to the local shaman backfires and turns her into a bloodthirsty monster. This is a rare public screening of the Finnish, folk horror classic, so don’t miss it!
The program starts on Monday, July 13 at 5:30 PM at the Millicent Library, 45 Center St., Fairhaven. All are welcome, and the event is free! Use the Walnut St. entrance to access the auditorium.
