Elections have consequences. See page 3 for the just one of the repercussions of the override vote.
We have a jam-packed issue this week. Summer stuff is really heating up (hahaha). Yeah, I know, it’s late Okay?
We have a heartbreaking story about a four-year-old Acushnet boy who was hit by a car and killed. I can’t even imagine the pain the family must feel. See page 14 to learn about young Liam and his short life.
We also have meeting coverage for you, with Select Board on page 4.
The seniors at the senior housing complex had a Senior Prom…no kidding. And 106-year-old Louise Sylvia made sure she did not miss it. As she tried to leave, we had to stop her because she was chosen as one of the princesses. She stayed but only if it was quick, she said, because she was expecting company at 8 p.m. No kidding, 106 years old and expecting company at 8 p.m. I want to be Louise when I grow up. See more on page 13.
There was a No Kings protest this weekend, too, and Fairhaven did its part to protest the Big Buffoon’s continued destruction of our once-great democracy. See page 12 for that. I’m going to try to add some pictures when I upload to the website (if I can stay awake). Speaking of staying awake, have you seen the stable genius (NOT!) dozing off lately?
Pathetic. And so is the constant grift of this guy. Our taxpayer dollars just flowing to him, his companies. They’re so blatant, while the cronies in Congress take their naps. We need new blood, eh?
Thumb through to find all the other great stuff in here. Be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week then, see ya,
