Supporters of youth programs across Greater New Bedford will gather this spring for Opening of the Bay, the Community Boating Center’s annual fundraiser that helps hundreds of local young people connect with the city’s waterfront through sailing, mentorship, and leadership development, May 9, 2026 from 6–10 PM at Kilburn Mill, overlooking Clarks Cove and the Community Boating Center’s waterfront campus.
