The City of New Bedford Office of Tourism and Marketing in partnership with the Buttonwood Park Zoo, Parks, Recreation and Beaches, New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, and Fort Taber Military Museum, and Bristol Community College will host a series of Hospitality Trainings featuring guest speakers Dolores Hirschmann, Founder, CEO, Masters in Clarity; and James E. Daniels, Dean of the New Bedford Campus, Bristol Community College.
This interactive program is designed to educate, train and support employees working in Greater New Bedford’s hospitality businesses.
The hospitality industry consists of a broad section of fields within the service industry including lodging, restaurants, event planning, transportation, entertainment and activities. The program will empower employees to become better informed about New Bedford’s cultural and historical assets as well as customer service skills and best practices.
The free trainings continue on Wednesday, May 31 at the Fort Taber Community Center, and conclude on Wednesday, June 3 at the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park Visitor Center.
