Now we are at war with Iran. I’m old enough to remember two years ago when not going to war was a campaign promise.

We killed elementary school students and staff. Six service members are dead.

And no one can articulate a real reason to do it. Except….oh wait….Israel wanted to, so we went to help.

And to add insult to injury the US government refused to help Americans, even embassy personnel (what’s left of them) get out of the region, while, of course, Iran retaliated by hitting every country in the Middle East with a US base. Until the UK shamed us into it. After being shamed by the UK that worked to get its citizens out, the Big Buffoon finally gave in and decided to send military plans to get our people.

Are we great yet?

Poor Lebanon, land of my ancestors, always a target by someone whenever the US decides to mess around in the Middle East.

The big investigation is done (see page 4). The report blames it mostly on former town planner Bruce Webb, and a smidge on Patrick Carr, the guy who was  responsible for the agenda, go figure.

So even if we take it all at face value and throw Mr. Webb completely under the proverbial bus all alone, let’s be honest that a culture of secrecy, cliqueyness, and territorial pissing matches, contributed to this horrendous outcome. In other words: Will you people f’g grow up and talk to each other, please? The summary does not go into the detail of the interview with people. We do know from other meetings and discussions that SB member Keith Silvia also knew about the plans. He could have mentioned it to a rank and file Planning Board member, but he didn’t. Apparently, they don’t talk.

If people would just have the simple attitude that it’s better when more people know about a thing, this never would have happened. Now the neighbors will have to live in a new neighborhood that is blighted by design. It is next to the Wastewater Treatment Plant and the two wind turbines, both facilities that have hurt the neighborhood. The only savior was the tree buffer, which is now gone. The trees have been cleared to build houses. Woohoo, Robby, way to show your town some love.

Until next week then, see ya,

Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
