This course is designed to help New Bedford residents and those in surrounding communities prepare for a safe boating season. The class is open to everyone, but advance online registration is required prior to the course date. The Boat Massachusetts course will soon be mandatory for anyone who wishes to operate a motorboat on Mass. waterways.
Sat. & Sun., March 7 & 8, and March 18 & 29, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Port of New Bedford Building, 123 MacArthur Drive, New Bedford. Register at https://www.register-ed.com/ This event is free of charge. Students must be at least 12 years old as of the class date, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. You must attend all event sessions to be eligible to take the final exam.
