Fairhaven resident and Conservation Commission member, Brandon Estrella, has suffered a spinal cerebral fluid leak. He will be out of work for a considerable amount of time and faces a long recovery.
His mother, Patti, wrote on his GoFundMe page: “If you know Brandon, he is the one who will give his last dollar to make someone happy. He gives his time and heart to help others, especially those with developmental differences.
“He loves his town and its natural resources and fiercely desires others to respect it as well. You may have seen him this summer at the fairs at Grimshaw Park — educating children and adults about wetlands and conservation efforts. Raising awareness and bringing smiles to the children with little swag items he chose to fund.
“His love of our harbor, shoreline, and the preservation of our community’s shellfishing beds is deep in his soul, as it was for his family generations before him.”
