The Bishop Stang Spartans hosted the Fairhaven Blue Devils last Wednesday, 1/28/26, at the John C. O’Brian Gymnasium.
Bishop Stang held* onto the lead for the remainder of the game after breaking a 14-14 first quarter stalemate. Bishop Stang’s largest lead of the game was during the beginning of the third quarter when the score was 37-27.
Fairhaven came roaring back with 16 points scored in the fourth quarter but came just short of a comeback; holding a one-point deficit with 30 seconds left in the contest.
Fairhaven missed a three-point shot, forced to foul resulting in the 61-55 final score.
The loss ended Fairhaven’s three-game winning streak. Bishop Stang is on a three-game run of their own going into their match against Cardinal Spellman.
