The City’s Holiday Parking Program is back in full swing this year, offering two hours of free parking at both the Elm Street Garage and the Zeiterion Garage Downtown, along with two hours of free parking at meters along Acushnet Avenue in the North End.
New Bedford’s Holiday Parking Program is designed to encourage shopping, dining, and retail activity in the City’s Downtown and North End business districts during the holiday season.
The program also features ticket forgiveness for holiday shoppers and diners. Anyone receiving a parking ticket for an expired meter Downtown can be forgiven by presenting a same-day sales receipt for at least $20 from a Downtown merchant or restaurant.
